I had the pleasure of meeting Jerome Gerard after I contacted him from a Zillow listing. The listing was for a four bedroom apartment. As I inquired about the apartment and asked if the landlord would be comfortable with taking a emergency housing voucher. Mr. Gerard stated that the landlord does take vouchers but the apartment from the listing was for more bedrooms than the voucher I had for 3 bedrooms. He could have ended the call. Mr.Gerard explained that the same house had a 3 bedroom that was not quite ready but he would reach out to the landlord and arrange for a meeting. The meeting took place within a day or two and I got the apartment. I was days away from my voucher expiring . Mr.Gerard went above and beyond his job . He advocated for me to get the apartment and treated me and my children with such kindness that I to this day thank God for. He is by far one of the most sincere professionals I have met. After a year of searching Mr.Gerard helped me obtain a home myself and my family.

Jerome, Jerome, Jerome! Such a great realtor to work with. Before coming across my apartment, I would also have trouble with my voucher. When I applied for this apartment, the first thing I said was “will the landlord be accepting vouchers” & Jerome replied back YES. He set me up for a viewing and it was uphill from there. Meeting up wasn’t a hassle, he worked with my availability & also my conditions. Having a voucher usually gets denied but he reassured my landlord after meeting up with me that I was responsible & within a week, I got called for a move in date. Even with all the questions I had, Jerome was patient and honest. I would recommend him to others using a voucher because he knows how & what to say to make your apartment journey easier. After dealing with a handful of leasing agents in New York, meeting Jerome was a breath of fresh air! He was incredibly nice and welcoming when showing us the apartment, answering all my questions big and small and walking us through the application process and helping us along the way. Jerome is an excellent broker. Throughout our apartment search, he organized and updated a portfolio of potential options several times a day. However, he also took the time to make sure the options he provided were places we would actually be interested in seeing based on our conversations as opposed to some brokers who send as many options as possible no matter the size or location just hoping one sticks. Further, he remained flexible when it came to scheduling showings on very short notice and worked all hours when it came to ensuring our applications and paperwork were in order.
