My experience started strong. I was pleasantly surprised when Olga & Gala suggested a monthly price to offer as well as suggestions about how to complete the application. The lease was signed on July 29, 2023. I did not understand the insistence that nothing electronic was accepted by this owner, but I followed Gala's & Olga's lead.
All was quiet and I moved into the unit as planned on Aug 15, 2023.
A panicked message was received from Olga & Gala on Aug 25th that an original of a doc was needed - a month after it was submitted. The original document was of course no longer available and I asked them to figure something out. While I did receive a message about how to deal with maintenance issues in the unit from them, I never received any instruction on how to pay rent to the owner. It was only after I received a past due phone call on Sept 7th from the owner that I received these details direct from the owner. This included a fully executed copy of the lease upon request. This was never sent by Highline Residential.
Last, I was very clear that I have a small dog and stated this upfront in emails and verbal communications with Olga & Gaia. They instructed me to complete the lease saying that I did not have any dog - an action I am regretting. I have since spoken to the super and was informed that my emotional support dog is perfectly acceptable. I plan to make sure my pet's emotional support paperwork is renewed this next month.
I would not recommend working with Highline Residential. There was a $5K broker's fee paid and the service received now feels very shady with actions taken to just get a deal signed.

OLGA'S BIOGRAPHY
Olga hails from Ukraine, grew up mostly in Siberia, and now is a New Yorker. After completing her Masters in Business Management, she decided to move to New York looking for a new challenge. She is passionate about the city and especially the East Village where she has been a resident for over ten years. Her knowledge about the area and her love of working with people will ensure great service. She is straightforward, honest and wants to provide possible clients with the best possible fit.
