Katherine was probably my favorite part of the home purchasing process. It started with her offering up viewings for properties I might like and steering me away from properties that looked like they potentially had issues. She would explain her own purchasing experiences in depth, and was very forthcoming with information and advice on the whole process. She recommended that I hire an inspector before I made an offer to minimize potential issues that could come up when we moved to proceedings, and to fully understand the condition of the property I was looking to buy. When it came to actually purchasing the property, she guided me through the entire ordeal, and was responsive throughout. She went above and beyond in terms of gathering information for me, making sure I understood what I was doing and what I was asking for. When there was a surprise issue right before closing, she let me know that the closing should be done to my comfort, and that both parties should be in agreement when we sit to close. We ended up pushing out the closing by a couple of days to ensure my concerns were met and the issues were resolved (which led to a thankfully uneventful closing). She was super helpful throughout and taught me a lot about the home purchasing process. I'm glad to have worked with such a talented agent, and I'd glad to have finished the closing without stepping into any major pitfalls with her help.

In the 3 years I've spent researching the NYC real estate market to purchase a home, I've never met an agent with such a fighting spirit like Katherine, Right off the bat, she was super responsive, listened to all the things I was looking for, and really made me feel safe with her expertise and guidance. For example, we had put in an offer on a condo in Prospect Lefferts and after learning more about the owner of the building, she and the excellent attorney she recommended, did not feel comfortable with the purchase and advised me to walk away. Katherine feels relatable and makes me feel like she'd never do anything against my best interests. A high positive energy person - very important if you've been apartment hunting for too long and your trust/enthusiasm is waning. I've just moved over from overseas so my situation was a bit different from the norm - Katherine was incredibly patient and walked me through alternative routes to getting approval and making an overseas deposit. She really went the extra mile on this - she provided me the details/schedules but still made me feel like she cared more for client wellbeing above anything else. We chatted for probs over an hour when I first viewed the apartment - I could tell Katherine was a busy lady but she gave me her undivided attention and really took the time to have a natural conversation, and explained the functionings of New York to me (areas to hangout, safety at night, property market, you name it - everything I asked she happily discussed in detail.) She even took the time to explain the layout of a second apartment option to me just because I was 'curious' (this was after an hour of chatting and I had already pretty much confirmed on the first apartment - but she patiently explained an alternative to me anyway just for my peace of mind - because she 'gets' it.) As a first time renter looking for a place in NYC I cannot emphasize enough how helpful, speedy, and comfortable this process has been. I told her that I have a very busy month which includes a vacation so I would like to move on a place as quick as possible so I can get the house hunt out of the way and Katherine completely matched my energy.
